Similar to other WoW classes, a major rogue talent build will focus on one of these 3 talent-tree: Assassination, Combat, or Subtlety. This guide will teach you to going deep into the Combat tree while mixing some points into the other two trees for some skills boosting.
Combat
Improved Sinister Strike (2/2): Decrease the Energy Cost for Sinister Strike
Dual Wield Specialization (5/5): Boost the damage from offhand weapon by 50%. Since Rogue has been allowed to use axe, an Orc Rogue with two good axes equipped can be very dangerous due to his/her Axe Specialization.
Precision (5/5): Raise the probability to hit with weapon and poison by 5%.
Close Quarters Combat (5/5): Increase critical chance with dagger and fist weapons by 5%. This will increase your Combat Rogue versatility since he can change weapons to adapt with various battle situations.
Lightning Reflexes (3/3): Increase both Dodge and melee speed. The 10% melee haste is going to boost your Hack and Slash potential.
Aggression (5/5): Increase the damage of Sinister Strike, Backstab, and Eviscerate by 5%.
Blade Flurry (1/1): Improve attack speed by 20% and attacks strike an extra nearby opponent. The duration for this skill is 15 seconds.
Hack and Slash (5/5): Gives 5% chance to get extra attack on a target after hit it with sword or axe. Formerly named 'Sword Specialization', this is one of the primary talents in this Rogue talent build. Use the fastest axe you can find to make full use of this talent.
Weapon Expertise (2/2): Increase your expertise by 10.
Blade Twisting (2/2): Add 10% damage to your Backstab and Sinister Strike.
Vitality (3/3): Boost your energy regeneration.
Adrenaline Rush (1/1): Increase Energy Regeneration by 100% for 15 seconds.
Throwing Specialization (2/2): Increase range of Deadly Throw and gives it 100% possibilities to interrupt the target for 3 seconds.
Combat Potency (5/5): Gives your successful offhand melee attack 20% to generate 15 Energy.
Surprise Attack (1/1): Your finishing move cannot be dodged. Your Sinister Strike, Backstab, Shiv, Hemorrhage and Gouge also got 10% bonus damages.
Savage Combat (2/2): Increase overall attack power by 4% and boost damage to poisoned enemies.
Prey on the Weak (5/5): Boost critical strike damage by 20% if your target has less health than you.
Killing Spree (1/1): Step through the shadows from enemy to enemy within 10 yards, attacking an enemy every .5 seconds using both weapons until five attacks have been executed; all the damage during this skill is raised by 20%. This talent and Fan of Knives Spell are your AoE skill and can be used to put poison on many targets.
For the rest of the points, I recommend that you spend on these talents:
Assassination
Malice (5/5): Increase critical strike chance by 5%.
Ruthlessness (3/3): Provides finishing moves 60% probability to put a combo point at your target.
Blood Spatter (2/2): Boost both of Rupture and Garrote by 30%.
Subtlety
Relentless Strike (5/5): Give your finishing moves 20% probability per combo point to add 25 energy.
If you apply this rogue talent build, you'll have a very versatile character that can deal with many different situation by changing weapons; this build also equipped with Throwing Specialization, which will raise your survivability in the heat of battle. If you are an Orc Rogue, the combination of Axe Specialization, Hack and Slash, and Lightning Reflexes will make you unstoppable.
