With a bunch of different ways to level mining around, which one is best? I've always found that pretending you are leveling your character's regular level is the best strategy. In this case, if you're a night elf, you'd start in Teldrassil, then move on to Darkshore and Ashenvale... This gives you a great natural progression.
As soon as you reach those areas you'd start mining everything in front of you. When this is executed correctly there will always be an abundant supply of helpful ores that will keep the levels coming at you. One other cool insight that this brings is you're able to keep a constant rate while leveling mining. You know where to go - like if you started in Teldrassil, you would then continue to Darkshore. Tips to Speeding Up The Leveling Process
The easiest way for you to level up at a much faster pace is to leave it until you're a really high level. In this case, if you are level 50, it's just better to focus on getting to level 85. Then, with your epic flying mount, you can fly around and collect everything 10 times quicker.
This is another key to leveling up: knowing when to train. You should try and set up a strategy that will let you train to increase your cap, without having too much down time. That way you will never be stuck for too long without getting levels.
Expansion Areas - When to Go From Azeroth to Outlands, to Northrend, to Cata Stuff?
While leveling, it can be really tough to keep up the pace when you have to relocate between areas. However you can usually find a plan that will help you to get a good solid rate. For example - if you were going to Outlands, you don't actually have to wait until you reach 300. You can go out there usually around 275 and be good to go.
If you can only implement one tip, use this one - because it saves you a bunch of time. Imagine how hard it is to finally max out mining when Wrath of the Lich King was out. 450 was a lot! But now, around 400, you can simply go to the new areas. Instead of 400-450 taking 5 hours, now it only takes 30 minutes. Pretty smart!
